Program Impact

City Growers’ programs include Farm Workshops and Family Farm Days at Brooklyn Grange rooftop farms; Farm to Youth Workshops in classrooms, school yards and gardens, public parks and playgrounds; school garden and beekeeping residencies; and paid high school skills-training programs in beekeeping and urban agriculture. Through our continuum of programming, outreach and highly subsidized rates, City Growers is committed to ensuring that the young people who need our programs the most - those attending NYC Title 1 Public Schools with limited resources, those living in neighborhoods with few green spaces, and those who lack opportunities to meaningfully interact with the natural world due to socioeconomic constraints - can access and take part in their stewardship.
