Registration Open for In-Person students grades 4-5 — 30 Spots!
Our afterschool program is designed to help young people form community, become stewards of the environment and their health, and have fun while doing it!
In addition to teambuilding & regular check-ins, each group will cycle through the following activities:
Mindful Movement
Each day, we have a designated time for practicing mindfulness and movement, including dance, stretching, active games, yoga, etc.
Urban Agriculture
These activities take place at the PS20 School Garden, where young people will get their hands dirty and ask big questions about where our food comes from and how our choices can affect our environment.
Eco Arts
Young people will explore sustainability through art projects, like using milk cartons to make bird houses, creating signs for the garden, or imagining themselves as Climate Justice Heroes!

This program is fully funded by the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). Eligibility will be determined based on a needs assessment that includes information provided by PS 20, alongside DYCD requirements indicated by the city.
We are working toward developing this program to include more participants in the future, but until that time, we are excited to be able to provide free afterschool to PS 20 families who need it most, this spring
